ICAEW Regulatory Board
Lay Member (Transformation), appointed July 2026. The ICAEW Regulatory Board provides independent oversight of the regulation and discipline of the accountancy profession, with parity between lay members and chartered accountants. I sit as a lay member bringing an outside perspective on transformation: how regulated firms actually change, and where technology-led change creates risk the regulator needs to see.
My profile at ICAEWBCS, The Chartered Institute for IT
Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS), by invitation. Treasurer of the BCS ICT Ethics Specialist Group, the BCS member group focused on the ethical practice of computing. Member of the BCS IT Leaders Forum.
Industry standards work
Contributing Editor, PRINCE2 Agile (AXELOS Global Best Practice, 2014 to 2022). Author of "Governance principles for agile service delivery", adopted across UK government and still published on GOV.UK. Judge, UK Agile Awards and UK IT Industry Awards. Author of CHART, an openly published AI governance framework addressing the EU AI Act's human-oversight obligations.
About CHARTBoard work
I'm building a non-executive portfolio alongside my interim practice. The offer to a board: thirty years of running technology at scale, a regulator's view of oversight, and a published methodology for governing AI. If your board needs that, the fastest route is a conversation.
